Farewell

E-mail Print PDF
Burnt like the firefly against my shadow
You said- I love you.
One day, rain-soaked eyes
Flickered like lightening
Hiding under the leaves
You touched my heart tenderly
And declared, my belief will never shake a bit
    At the thunder
Wild wind of Baishakh shall not move my hair
How you turned away your lovely face
With so little lust and sound?
You are shocked suddenly looking at me
Behind the leaves, waves of the river
Class-room, corridor, lights of the firefly in the evening
Hiding all these under the eyes
Only a woman can say, - Farewell.
